Unkai (雲海) — Broad-Canopy Arabika Yamadori Bonsai (Dai Size)

Unkai (雲海), meaning “Sea of Clouds,” is a mature Arabika yamadori bonsai named for its broad, layered canopy. At least 15 years old, it combines a substantial trunk and visible surface roots with an expansive, balanced silhouette.

The open view through the canopy reveals the trunk line and primary branching, while the fine compound foliage brings softness and scale. The exposed root base and visible pot reinforce the tree’s grounded, mature presence.
